ARTRODHESIS OF THE FOOT (LISFRANC ARTICULATION)

Arthrodesis of the foot (Lisfranc joint)
The day o8-02-09 was decided to perform arthrodesis of the Lisfranc joint.

The above proce was deferred due to the numerous complications that the patient had already been discussed.

Also the expectations of this intervention was questionable since it was absolutely predictable what was found: fibrosis, a large osteoporosis, bone fragments and bits of cartilage interposed.

He had previously provided and then followed synthetic calcitonin.

The patient also was an infection with methicillin as resistant Staphylococcus aureus, which collapsed after a month and a half Vancomycin administration through venous focus.

The Phantom of the possibility of amputation always present, both the patient and me. Fortunately for the patient, with a strong will to fight, this event did not occur.
He left a plastering machine for three months after the operation.

Interlocked with needles multiple.
